ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your five facts about the first settlers to arrive in New Zealand. I agree with that they must have been very brave. I can't really imagine what it would have been like to set sail from their homes, travel across the ocean and arrive in a brand new place that they had never before visited. When I moved to New Zealand I found it hard enough to settle into life in a new country without having to worry about a long waka trip and the chance that I would never see my family again. I am actually able to hop onto an airplane and get home to see my parents and my sister in Canada quite often. How lucky am I?!
I hope that you and your family spent lots of quality time together over the summer break. I'll look forward to seeing you when I come into Glen Taylor to deliver the Summer Learning Journey prizes and certificates.
