Do you have a friend?

                                                              A friend

A friend is someone that you like very much. Friends are nice to each other. They play fair and take turns with each other. Elisha is my friend at school. We take turns on the slide and on the swings. My other friends is called Patrica and she is my cousin. I gave her my teddy bear to play with. This made her happy. Chloe is also my friend and she is my cousin. She makes me laugh. We play teddy bear fights. We take turns being the good bear and the bad bear. We have lots of fun together and Chloe looks after me. She loves and she is my friend.

My Family Feast

My Family Feast

In the holidays I went to my family’s feast.  It was at my nana and grandpa’s house.  My whole family was there.  It was cool going to visit my nana at her and grandpa’s house.

I went with my mum and dad.  Some of my aunts, uncles and cousins were there.  There were just my dad’s brothers and sisters.  There was no one from my mum’s side of our family.

After we arrived I went and hugged my nana.  I love her a lot and she loves me.  Then I went outside to play hop scotch with my cousins.  Their names are Mario, Kava, Liston, Sione, Patricia, David and Dora.

Later my cousin David lent me his toy gun.  I shot the gun up and I shot the gun down.  I aimed it at the tree.  It shot darts with sticky things on the end of them.

Then we went inside to eat some food.  We ate barbequed chicken, sausages and fish.  It tasted really good.  Everyone was quiet as we ate.  After we had eaten I went home with my mum and dad.  I wasn’t tired and I wanted to stay with my nana, because I love my nana.

Making Homemade Ice Cream

Making Homemade Ice Cream

Yesterday, after morning tea, everyone in Rooms One and Two made ice cream in Room Two because in science we are learning how to turn liquid into solids.  First, we put the ingredients into the bowl.  We whipped the evaporated milk for 40 seconds with an electric beater.  Then we added caster sugar and vanilla into the bowl and we beat it again.  It looked thick, creamy and fluffy.  After that we put the bowl in the freezer for one hour.  Then we took it out of the freezer and beat it again. Finally, I tasted it and it tasted yummy.  I feel excited because I know how to make ice cream at home.

Tuesday and Wednesday

On Tuesday I was sick.  I went to the doctor and he gave me some medicine.  The nurse did a blood test by putting a needle into my arm. Then my dad took me home so I could rest and get better.  On Wednesday I was still sick.  I stayed in our living room and mum kept me warm. I watched TV with my cousins.  My youngest cousin crawled around the living room floor.  Then she crawled into the kitchen so I told my other cousin to take her to her mum. My mum
and auntie were talking in the living room.  At night we had dinner with my cousins, my auntie and uncle. Later, after dinner I went to
Saint Patrick’s church with my mum and dad.  At church Father put a cross on my head with ashes. It was cold. After church my parents dropped me off at my cousins’ place so that I could be close to school. I was very tired and I slept at my cousins’ place.

Going To the Hospital

Going to the hospital
On Monday I went with my mum and my auntie to the
hospital. My auntie dropped my mum and I at the
hospital, and then she went home. My Grandma and
my cousin were going to come with us but we forgot to
pick them up.

When I got to the hospital with my mum I was scared
because I thought that the nurse was going to cut my
ear. But they don’t need to cut anymore. When we
got to the Ear Department the nurses and the doctor
put me to sleep. First they pricked my hand and
my arm and I started to get scared again. My mum
stayed with me for five minutes and then waited for
me in the waiting room.

While I was asleep the doctors looked in my ears.
They put a mirror inside my ears to have a look at
them. It was a very small mirror. I didn’t feel anything
because I was asleep. The nurses also gave me a
blood test so when I woke up I felt weak. Then the
doctors went and told my mum that I was awake, and
my mum came to see me. I was so happy to see my
mum. I couldn’t remember where I was or anything
else. My mum told me that I was in the hospital.
Then I remembered.

Next I got up and went with my mum to wait in the
waiting room. We had to wait a long time before the
doctors came to see us. Then the nurse came and
took the needles out of my hand and my arm. She
put a plaster on me. After that we went outside and
waited for my auntie to come and pick us up. I ate
my lunch because I was very hungry. I was also very
tired. I was happy to get home.
