History: Flame and torch.
The ancient Greeks believed that fire was given to the humankind by Pometheu's" and considered to have a sacred qualities mirror swere used to for us the Swnrays to ignite flames that would burn in front of the Greek tomples. The Olympic flames began in 1936 in Berlin games. 3,330 runners brought the torch with flag.
Today, the Olympic flame is lit in front the temple of Hera Olympia, Greece.Host country- Sydney, Australia
