The answer to 3 x 365:
1095
300 x 3 = 900
60 x 3 = 180
3 x 5 = 15
900 + 180= 1080
1080 + 15 = 1095

ReplyDeleteI really like the way you have broken down the problem into smaller parts that are easier to solve. This is a great strategy because it will enable you to solve more complicated problems with larger numbers.
Can you think of any other strategies you could use?
