I love looking after my little niece!

My favourite part was when we ate the cake because it was really appetising.

On Friday 28th of April, my mum and I went to my cousin’s house to celebrate my cousin TJ’s birthday.

First I looked after my baby niece while her mum cooked.

While I was holding my niece I played her favourite television show called Dora the explorer.

Dora the explorer is a girl who has a monkey named Boots, he is called Boots because he has red boots.

However soon she fell asleep so I turned television off.

When she woke up, she started crying so I gave her a balloon to play with and that made her happy.

After a while, when my mum, aunt, cousin, had finished cooking our dinner, I gave my niece to her mum so I could have some food.

After that we watched some cartoons so that my niece won’t cry  and we watched Dora the explorer again.

Then I gave him some money as a present and he was so happy. When it was dark we went home because my mum was tired.

Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the structure of a recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can write the introduction, followed by the events and conclusion about going to my cousin's birthday party.
