Today I  ask my class mates what was  their  favourite birthday cakes and most of them had  chosen chocolate cake..

Instructions

1. Fold the paper from the short end to the long end, to form a triangle .

2.Fold the extra end to the back to make a square.


3.Cut the extra end.

4.Open the square and fold it in half ,and fold it  again to make quarters then open it .

5.Trace  a circle onto the square,and measure 1cm on each 4 sides.

6. Number and  initial each quarter.

7.  Cut the circle into quarters.

8.Draw in each quarter.

9.Trace your drawing with pastels.

10. Colour the background

Today we have been discussing what to do in an earthquake. the safest option are to drop,cover and hold. In class Miss Paton took photographof us under the tables and under the door frame

I think homework should be given to children because they can also learn at home. Children should do their homework because it can make you smart by reading books and practising their times tables. 

Children should do their homework because they can learn new things like, how to spell big words and science things.

 I think children should do their homework because they want to learn lots of new things. Homework should be given because children need to learn even if they are not at school. 

Children should be given homework because it  would be nice for them to work at home with their parents.

I think children should do their homework because when they grow up they want to get jobs.

How could Adults be better?

I believe that adults could be better if they stop drinking alcohol and smoking.

Adults could be better if they stop being  abusive because their children would get hurt.

Adults could be better if they stop fighting or arguing because their children will be sad.

Adults could be better if they could spend more time with there children so their children would not be lonely.

Adults could be better if they could stop telling lies because they are telling lies to God.
Most of all adult could be better if they make good choices . 

Auckland Live Trip !

                       

Two weeks ago my school and I went to the Aotea  Centre. First we went to watch the dancers  do creative dancing. Then a man was spinning a thing that looks like a necklace. The dancers also performed a haka for us.   

Next, I used an iPad to look at the digital birds in the bird house. We had to find the bird houses around us. Then we went to the screening room and quietly  sat on the floor. A lady dialled a number  then we blew onto the phone speaker and a persons hair on the screen was blown away. 

After that we went to the Herald theatre to watch a show about Electricity. The main characters were Rima  and Koru. Our final activity was a made up story called the cheetah that wanted to be king. The lion king made the cheetah the Prime minister of New Zealand.

I enjoyed the trip very much!!!

   I was given an Array of Snails. I used Move Note to video myself to explain my strategy counting in 5's, this is the way I did it,  5+5+5+5= 20.

Today I was making a repeated pattern, the shapes that I used were Diamond, circle and Square , the colours  that I used were Green, light blue and yellow and my background colour was light purple , I have three shapes as you can see.

My favourite fruit is watermelon. There are lots of small brown seeds inside. It is red inside and green outside .It is round and

big.The outside bits are hard and the inside is soft.It tastes juicy and sweet.There are lots of different watermelons. There are gold yellow and orange. Its refreshing .There is alot of juice in it.Watermelon`is the best fruit.
