2000 Summer Olympics

L.I.- we are learning about 2000 summer Olympics torch.

Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I give information  about the 2000 summer Olympics.

History:  Flame and torch.

The ancient Greeks believed that fire was given to the humankind by Pometheu's" and considered to have a sacred qualities mirror swere used to for us the Swnrays to ignite flames that would burn in front of the Greek tomples. The Olympic flames began in 1936  in Berlin games. 3,330 runners brought the torch with flag.

Today, the Olympic flame is lit in front the temple of Hera Olympia, Greece.

Theme- The torch was inspired by the Sydney Opera house, the blue represents the pacific ocean and the boomerang.

The dissing of the Olympic and the Paralympic torches reflected three famed areas of Australian culture:  the boomerang the Sydney opera house, and the waters of the pacific ocean.

How do cats show their feelings?

Learning intention: we are learning to write an explanation.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can write question in the heading , an introduction to tell about the topic and series of points telling how and why.

Cats have different ways of showing there feeling.
When cats are playful they show their feelings by chasing something like mouse or a light or their tail. They also jump at bugs or up the tables.
 When cats are happy they show their feelings by kissing you, they purr, roll over to get their tummy tickled and sitting quietly.

When cats are frightened their fur stands up when they are in water. Sometimes they run away up a tree when someone is chasing them. 

When cats are angry they will hiss , growl and spit at you, their tail also twitches.

Cats have the most funniest ways of showing their feelings!

Duffy theatre

L.I.- we are learning to write a recount using correct punctuation .
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write a recount about  Duffy theatre show using correct punctuation.

They are amazing actors!

Today our school was lucky to have a Duffy show to entertain us.
First they introduced themselves. Their names are Sunny, Rosie and Temata , then we sang the Duffy song. 

 I like their unique clothing. I also like the way they acted and made it look like they were the real characters.

The story was about Temata travelling through time to save Ruby's dad from being killed in the war.
I like the way they pretended to do slow motion when Temata saved Sunny from the war. Temata pulled Sunny from the gun shot and when  he was about to go, he got shot on the arm ,but he was okay. It was really funny when Temata saw Ruby as a baby.

Then we sang the Duffy song again when the show was finished.
Finally we went back to our classes.
